Mental Health and Wellbeing

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through to adulthood.

We all expect to get a cold or sore throat from time to time but when it comes to the way we feel emotionally, it can be hard to recognise or admit that we’re not feeling 100%.

You can check your mood by completing a simple self-assessment from the NHS here.

There is wider information, help and advice available from the NHS here.
